A first haircut, step by step
A first cut is a visit, not a race. This is how it goes, from booking to the last comb.
- 01
Step 1: Book your visit
Pick a time online or by phone and say it's a first haircut. We leave extra minutes and give you a barber who goes slowly.

Step 2: What to bring
A photo of the cut you like, a small toy or book, and the grown-up your child trusts most.

Step 3: When you arrive
Check in at the board, then let your child look around. They can climb into each chair before choosing one.

Step 4: What to expect
Scissors first, clippers shown switched off, and a break whenever it's needed. A first cut usually takes 30 to 45 minutes.

Lap, booster or regular: your child picks
Little ones can sit on your lap with the cape over both of you. A wooden booster board across the arms lifts a small client to barber height. Bigger kids take the regular chair, with the footrest set to fit.
Lap: for the youngest, or anyone who wants a hug
Booster: lifts small clients to the barber's height
Regular: for when they feel big

More about first cuts
What if my child cries?
It happens, and it's fine. We pause, you stay close, and we start again when they're ready.
Can I stay with my child?
Yes. A parent or guardian stays for the whole visit, in the chair with them or right beside it.
What if my child doesn't want the cape?
We let them hold it first, and we can fold it lighter around the shoulders.
How long should I plan for?
A first cut usually takes 30 to 45 minutes. We leave that time open when you say it's a first cut.
Ready for the first cut?
Pick a time, or walk in when a chair is open. Tell us it's a first haircut and we'll slow everything down.
